This modern villa has lovely sea views and is perfectly set in a lush and extensive property, surrounded by olive groves and Mediterranean vegetation. The villa is situated in a hilly residential area at the outskirts of Santa Maria di Leuca, just 10 minutes walk from the sea and within walking distance from town with its excellent amenities. Alternatively you can hire a boat from the port to seek out undiscovered coves and bays of Leuca or drive whitin 15 minutes to the sought after resort of Torre Vado with its fine sandy beaches. The property entrance is trough a private path that connects the road to the villa, and it is in common use with another villa, which is right above the property access and it’s completely independent. This must not be frightened because the two houses are totally independent despite the common gate. Externally, the villa is surrounded by furnished terraces and balconies with umbrellas and lounge chairs providing relax and fine views over the sea beyond, as well from the upper terrace overlooking the entire harbor, which provide ample space for relaxing sunbaths. In particular fine views across the famous so called “Canalone”, an ancient river bed of about 2000 years, now fully covered by Mediterranean scrub. A small pool stands on the north side of the villa, it’s ideal for children. This three storey villa has several accesses all along the perimeter. All rooms are very spacious and luminous, and very well furnished with a Mediterranean style. The living area is comfortably furnished a simple and Mediterranean style and has a separate dining room for six. There are French doors from the lounge that lead out to the main terrace. The modern fully-equipped kitchen has everything that you might need for your convenience, and the first bathroom is located on this floor and has a shower, and laundry as well. Dining room and kitchen are equipped by ceiling fan. The sleeping area on the other side, is composed by 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite and walk-in wardrobe), and a twin room (on demand even triple) with bathroom in corridor. The internal staircase leads up to the first floor trough a double bedroom attic with bathroom. The bedroom opens on the terrace with excellent panoramic views of Leuca. This is the only room with air con. A comfortable and secluded guest apartment on the lower floor is accessible only from the outside, and comprises a lovely double bedroom with en-suite. Villa Merienne offers a tranquil setting for those who enjoy the relaxed Leuca lifestyle and the lush green surroundings. You`ll fall in love with this charming villa as you spend lazy afternoons sunning yourself on the private terraces among flowering shrubs.
